Women’s rugby at Cal State Fullerton is returning for the first time in 21 years.

Recruitment has been difficult, said club president Vanessa Kelly and marketing and fundraising coordinator Randy Odhiambo, who spearheaded the effort of bringing back women’s rugby to CSUF for the first time since 1988.

The Cal State Fullerton men’s ice hockey club came up short against the University of Southern California Trojans Thursday night 6-4 at the Anaheim Ice Arena.

In a game that would not be decided until the closing minutes, the theme for the Titans was missed opportunities and inconsistent intensity.

The Titan hockey club travels to UNLV for a pair of games this weekend.

The Cal State Fullerton hockey club is headed to Division 2 after completing its inaugural 2008-09 season.

Although the Titans finished last season with a 1-5 record, they managed to close out the season on a very strong note when they exploded on the UCLA Bruins for a 9-3 victory.
