Cara is a senior majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in Radio, Television, and Film. She is looking forward to her third semester at the Daily Titan and last year at CSUF. Her dream is to one day travel the world and report stories that have not been heard of. As a backpack journalist, she hopes to bring knowledge to those who are interested in finding out about the world around them. In the meantime though, Cara enjoys traveling to new places and trying exotic foods.

  • Police arrived on campus at 3:50 p.m.to respond to a group suspected of a jewelry store robbery in Moreno valley. The five suspects came off the 57 freeway, in two cars; a grey late model Lexus and a late model Hyundai.

Three men were taken into custody, while the remaining two are still at large on campus. The hijacked from Cal State Fullerton ended in a chase in Watts at a baseball field called Imperial Courts Recreation Center.

Both Mihaylo Hall and Langsdorf Hall have both been locked down while police search for the remaining suspects, one suspect is believed to have gone into Mihaylo Hall. Gunshots were heard near Langsdorf hall, but it is not determined if the shots were from the suspects or the police.

All traffic in the Cal State Fullerton has been blocked off, and a SWAT vehicle was also dispatched to the campus. 9 SWAT members were seen going into Mihaylo Hall at 5:23 p.m. with another 8 SWAT members entering Mihaylo Hall at 5: 30 p.m.
