It makes me very angry that this person thinks she has a right to be here and a right to access our services (in this case, education), and, through her own personal law, not consider herself a criminal. I'd be happy to report her to the INS if I found out her identity, to whom the hispanic-advised (at least in Fall) and currently hispanic-editor led Daily Titan choose to grant anonymity, while refusing to grant anonymity to anyone who wanted to speak out against the budget and class cuts in Fall 2009.I also would like to see some exact numbers on WHAT these illegal students are majoring in. I don't appreciate seeing vague words like "the majority" or "many." I doubt such claims, and the GPA claim of a "minimum" of 3.5? You're saying over 1/2 of these illegals have a "minimum" of 3.5? I seriously doubt that. What is their major, "Education"? (3.5 gpa in that major is probably considered failing.)In another article, Daily Titan printed a statement that 1% of students in the CSU system were illegals. If applied to CSUF, that means about 370 students, or 4,500 in the entire CSU system (at least). Those 370 students (I recall seeing a number of 500 at CSUF last year in the Daily Titan) take space away from legal California residents, legal out-of-state students, and legal foreign students. College is not an entitlement, particularly not to illegal aliens, who ARE criminals under our laws.In a time of budget and enrollment crisis, canceled classes and some students forced out of school prior to meeting educational goals, or denied access to CSUF for retraining (2nd bachelor's degree) because of job loss due to corporate, greed-driven shipping of jobs overseas, the illegal alien students doubly have NO argument, entitlement or otherwise, for state-supported higher education access. I'm so sick and tired of hearing about entitlement to higher education. I had to pay my own way at considerable sacrifice to me, because my parents were too "rich" for me to get a state-supported free ride, but too poor to give me more than occasional help in my educational endeavor. And that guy who came here illegally when he was 16 years old, and just then ready to start high school? At 16? He should be a junior in high school!Gutierrez' selfish argument is a Globalization argument -- another reason to oppose Globalization."Just say no to illegal aliens."(Oh yeah. My spouse is a LEGAL immigrant, not the same race as me, her native language isn't English (but she speaks English just fine), so you can't call me a racist either! She's now a U.S. citizen, too, which he got through the totally legal, normal, wait-your-turn path. I'm very proud of her. I have no sympathy for the "plight" of illegals.)

I’d like to know what this anonymous student thinks when she says we don’t know the history of (or in her case, she doesn’t know the laws) of our own country.

Yes, this country was built on immigrants, but LEGAL immigrants, *not* ILLEGAL immigrants! Their very presence here and practically everything they do on U. S. soil is illegal. They need to be ferreted out, rounded up like cattle, punished for their numerous crimes, then booted back to whence they snuck in from with such extreme prejudice that they will never, ever think of violating our sovereignty again. Enough is enough.

What’s this ‘undocumented’ crap? Illegal aliens are criminals and parasites, one and all. Many of these people contribute little, but feel they are discriminated against because of race, nationality, etc--they are always the victim. (My daddy did it he's the one that brought me here, it's not my fault, etc... The guy is even victimized by his own father. WHAT A SPOILED BRAT.)The article did not mention what Diego received his degree in. Was his degree in "Ethnic Studies" with a concentration in "Latino Culture"? Whatever it was, apparently it was bogus enough that it wasn't even worth mentioning.

The “entitlement” is a real problem. Only sovereign nations can survive as nations. He got a free ride, courtesy of the US taxpayer; he responds to this generosity by advocating that the nation our ancestors built doesn't have a right to exist. Nice backstabbing there, Diego.

By saying that the US does not have the right to keep out illegal immigrants, Diego Gutierrez is arguing that the US does not have the right to exist.
