And there's much resistance by white society, who often see no problem in casting whites to play Asian characters. That's probably the biggest hurdle, and it gets even worse when dealing with the extremely close-minded individuals who run Hollywood.They still believe that America as a whole will not watch Asian or Asian-American actors, even if those roles are for people of Asian descent. It's sad and infuriating. I really wish this was not just part of a class, but part of an event open to the public.
